Through the Tears

for Children's Choir (2024)

commissioned by WHIDDON AUTUMN FESTIVAL

“Through the Tears” is a song dedicated to the resilience and hope of children affected by war.

It speaks of finding light in darkness and the strength to build a world free from fear and conflict.

Its poignant imagery of flowers blooming through the rain reminds us that

the spirit of peace and love can grow and flourish even in the face of hardship.

The Whiddon Autumn Festival commissioned this piece as composer-in-residence 2024 and performed by children from Whiddon, conducted by George Cook.
