Sun Keting x Huang Xiao: Ensō

 

Sun Keting + LSO Soundhub 

 

Ensō is created together by composer Sun Keting and performance artist Huang Xiao, featuring a solo dancer with three musicians. In Zen, Ensō is a significant circular symbol which represents absolute enlightenment, strength, the universe, and the void. The Ensō begins from the point of stillness transforming itself into a dynamic almost violent motion, which finally gathers all of its energy into a still and infinitely decreasing point at the end.
